Gunther earned his doctorate from Harvard University in 1965 and was a Fulbright Scholar in Oslo, Norway. At Harvard, he was a core founder and member of the Harvard Psilocybin Research Project  – the storied groundbreaking experiments in the study of the noted entheogen (psychoactive substance) that induces alterations in consciousness, perception, mood and cognition to support deep personal and communal healing and psycho-spiritual development. Gunther has served faculty and administrative appointments at Brandeis University, Boston College and the University of Massachusetts-Boston. Dr. Weil has also conducted personal growth seminars in leadership, creativity, emotional intelligence and wellness for executives and their organizations throughout the world. He is a 50 year practitioner/teacher of Tai Chi Chuan and an internationally recognized master teacher of Qigong. Dr. Weil is a licensed Psychologist and is certified in the HeartMath® Inner Quality Management Program; Cultural Transformation Tools (CTT); and as a Master Values Mentor by the Minessence Group of Australia. He is also certified as a Master Trainer of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP). In 2001 he and his wife, Ellen Weil were personally invited by Eckhart Tolle, best-selling author of The Power of Now, and A New Earth to teach the Practice of Presence.
